Navy Blue - Men's Necktie

The color of this tie is so pretty. It is well weaved and made with quality cotton. I ordered that for my son to match with his prom suit. This skinny tie gives a stylish modern look. He is going to shine.Now, the issue is - the tie is kind of thick and the young guy has difficulty to handle it. Oh well, for a newbie to wear a neck tie, he definitely needs to learn how to make a perfect tie.

I thought maybe it was just me and my preferences…but reading the other reviews I see that I am not in the minority in thinking this tie is too thick (see also: “bulky”, “coarse” and “heavy”).I like the look, color, length and width…but I couldn’t get past the 100% Cotton material that made my usual knot look bulky and awkward. I guess I’m just partial to the look and feel of silk. (?)The Pros: Nice tie. Nice color. Nice design.Great price and good durable quality.The Cons: Too Thick!

I wanted a nice cotton casual tie for Summer, and this Otis & Oliver model fit the bill perfectly. It's constructed wit a nice, medium weight cotton on both the tie and the interior backing. The fabric has a tight weave with a linen-like feel and solid, invisible stitching. I love the blue color - it's listed as navy but has a bit of a royal blue undertone which is stylish and contemporary. The width is just at 2.5", which works well for more casual wearings. As with other cotton ties I've owned it is of course thicker than silk, and I find that a simple Reverse Windsor knot works best for me, especially with the tie's slim silhouette. It ticks all the right boxes, and for under $20 you'd be hard pressed to find a better tie. A well-made, good value addition to my wardrobe.
